As I write this the Today show is airing a segment titled “Bridal fashion has gone to the dogs.” Now I’m not 100% sure where I stand with having your dog in the wedding. At the wedding sure, in the wedding….hmmm. One wedding comes to mind where the groom had his dog sit, very obediently, next to the best man. It was great and made for a great photo op.
I do have to draw the line somewhere though. After watching many (and ever younger) ring bearers and flower girls barely make it down the aisle, I would be hesitant to tie 3 months salary onto Fido! By all means if you have a well trained and obedient pet find a way to make it a part of your day but how about leaving the doggie tuxedos, gowns and ring pillows on eBay where they belong and leave your pooch’s dignity intact.
Of course dogs are always great to bring along for engagement sessions!
