As I write this the Today show is airing a segment titled “Bridal fashion has gone to the dogs.” Now I’m not 100% sure where I stand with having your dog in the wedding. At the wedding sure, in the wedding….hmmm. One wedding comes to mind where the groom had his dog sit, very obediently, next to the best man. It was great and made for a great photo op.

I do have to draw the line somewhere though. After watching many (and ever younger) ring bearers and flower girls barely make it down the aisle, I would be hesitant to tie 3 months salary onto Fido! By all means if you have a well trained and obedient pet find a way to make it a part of your day but how about leaving the doggie tuxedos, gowns and ring pillows on eBay where they belong and leave your pooch’s dignity intact.

Of course dogs are always great to bring along for engagement sessions!

What do you think?

I always ask where and how they intend to display the print because it makes a huge difference. There are a lot of factors to take into account including the type of frame and mat you will be using, the room size etc. I’ve found that most people really don’t know what size they want when they come in my door or usually underestimate the size. So I thought I would make a scale graphic showing what different size prints would look like over a typical sofa.

The sofa is scaled to 78″ or 6 1/2 feet. The sizes on the wall represent some of the large print sizes I offer. There are many many more sizes available though. Also note that the sizes here do not take into account the size of the matting and frame.
